Save Five Animals in Five Minutes Everyday with our new Take 5 Save 5 Initiative!

Want to help animals but have a busy schedule? Just set your internet browser's homepage to take5save5.com and you can spare five animals a lifetime of suffering in just five minutes!

We're very excited to announce the launch of our Take 5 Save 5 initiative, which gives you and our other members an easy, effective way to spare five animals a life of suffering with just five minutes of online work. The Take 5 Save 5 initiative costs nothing, and best of all you can save lives every day with just five minutes of your time! With the Take 5 Save 5 initiative, you can put free vegetarian starter packs in the hands of people from across the country using postings on Craigslist and elsewhere. We've thoroughly tested this process throughout 2009, with astounding results:  follow-up surveying showed that about 60% of people who ordered a veg starter pack from us online reduced their meat consumption, and that 3 to 7% of them went vegetarian!

Please check out the site now at http://www.take5save5.com to try it out. We also strongly encourage you to consider making the website your home page, so that when you log on to the internet each day you'll be reminded to take a few minutes and save a few animals.

Get Ready to Get Your Groove On:  The Vegan Valentine's Dance and Drinks Event Is On The Way!

This Valentine's Day, celebrate your love for animals by joining the Humane League and friends for our first ever Vegan Valentine's Dance and Drinks! The party is going down in two private rooms at the Dark Horse Pub (near 2nd and South Sts. in Center City Philadelphia), with a DJ and dancing all night long plus drink specials just for us and tasty vegan appetizers for sale. It's all happening Saturday February 13 from 8 pm to midnight. The cover charge is just $10, which gets you the great drink specials and with all proceeds going to benefit the Humane League's life-saving work for animals. This will be a great event to take that special someone to, an opportunity to meet that special someone (because we're doing wide-ranging promotions of the event to vegetarians on dating sites and elsewhere), and also a great opportunity to just hang out with friends, drink and shake your booty!

No RSVP is required, and all of the details are online at http://www.VeganValentine.info . We hope to see you there!
