The Humane League of Philly is very excited to announce the launch of Team Vegan Philly, a group of vegan and vegetarians who will be running in 8k, half-marathon, and marathon races this fall in order to raise money for the veg outreach programs of the Humane League and CARE (Compassion for Animals, Respect for the Environment)! Made up of both amateur joggers and experienced marathon runners, team members will be competing in either the ING Distance Run on September 21 or the Philadelphia Marathon, Half-Marathon, or 8k race on November 23 (their choice). While our team is already a dozen members strong, we need you! Whether you’re an experienced runner or a total novice, we would love to have you joining with us to run for the billions of animals suffering on factory farms!
