Campaigns - Animal Rescue

The Humane League of Philadelphia directly rescues hundreds of farm, laboratory, and companion animals from situations of abuse, neglect, and iminent death. Most of our rescues are emergency situations affecting large number of animals, including:

-43 rabbits rescued from abusive conditions in a backyard meat farm

-148 "spent" hens rescued from being killed at a free-range egg farm

-130 laboratory rats rescued from a local University that was set to gas them.

-200 cats and dogs rescued in the wake of Hurricane Katrina

If you are seeking homes for farm or laboratory animals that are in abusive situations and/or are set to be killed (any number of animals, small or large), please contact us at info@thehumaneleague.com or (484) 904-6004. If you are looking for a home for an individual dog, cat, or other companion animals, please see our Resources page for listings of rescue organizations that might be able to help.
