The Humane
League of Philadelphia - Campaigns
Please
click on a tab above to learn more about our different campaigns! While
animals are exploited in countless ways, The Humane League of Philadelphia
focuses its efforts on areas where it can benefit the greatest number
of animals and reduce the greatest amount of suffering. This is accomplished
primarily through two methods:
1) Outreach and education aimed at the general public to promote veganism
and other personal lifestyle changes that can save the lives of many animals.
These are covered in our Veg Outreach
and Advertising, Compassion In Fashion,
and Humane Education sections.
2) Campaigns for policy changes at restaurants, educational institutions
and businesses, which can greatly reduce or eliminate the suffering of
many animals. These are covered in our No
Battery Cages Campaign and No Foie
Gras Campaign sections.
The Humane League
also conducts some emergency rescues of farm, laboratory, and companion
animals in order to directly save lives when possible. Over the past year
we rescued and placed over 225 animals, and this work is covered in our
Rescue section.
After learning more
about our campaigns, please consider joining us
in our work or donating to help create a brighter
future for animals.
