Welcome to Team Vegan Philly! We are a group of vegan and vegetarian athletes from the greater Philadelphia region currently training to run for the third year in a row in the Philadelphia Marathon (with marathon, half-marathon, and 8k races).

We’re lacing up our running shoes and hitting the pavement to raise money for the great veg outreach efforts being done by the Humane League of Philadelphia!. We’re also here to raise awareness that not only is a vegan diet great for the animals’ lives, it’s great for our lives too - making us leaner, healthier, and more energetic!

We hope that you will join us, either through running with us in one of the upcoming races (8k, half-marathon, or marathon), or by sponsoring one of our dedicated runners! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Sponsor a Runner

Don't have the time or legs to commit to running with Team Vegan Philly, but want to help these dedicated and compassionate runners to reach their goal? Please donate to sponsor our runners! Every runner has a fundraising goal they must meet, and your support will not only help them meet that goal, it will also provide them the encouragement and support to last them through the weeks and months of training!

Please be generous! All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and 100% of your donation will be going towards veg outreach efforts to educate the public about the cruelties of factory farming and animal agriculture. Your donation will be going to programs such as:

+ Humane Education programs that bring the reality of factory farming into grade school, high school and college classrooms throughout the greater Philadelphia area!

+ Advertising campaigns that will reach hundreds of thousands of people with the cruel realities of factory farming and encourage them to "Choose Veg" instead!

+ Distributing Vegan Outreach booklets on college campuses across the greater Philadelphia area as well as at festivals, concerts, and on city streets

+ Online advocacy reaching tens of thousands of teenagers and young adults through popular sites like MySpace.com with the realities of animal agriculture

+ Printing and distributing materials that make it easy for the public to go veg, such as regional vegetarian eating guides, veg websites, and more!
