Speaker, Book-Signing: Jenny Brown, Director of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary
Jenny was once a successful television professional. But after a week-long trip spent undercover to film horrific farm animal abuse in Texas stockyards in 2002, she decided to give up her flourishing media career and dedicate her life to helping the animals forgotten by society.
Now Jenny is director of the flourishing Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary and the author of the inspirational book The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight for Farm Animals.Jenny will be speaking and signing copies of her book. |

Nutrition Speaker: Dr. Kirt Tyson
Dr. Kirt Tyson is internationally known as an expert in the treatment of diabetes, his participation in the documentary film “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days” and his self-publish book “The Raw Truth: The Recipe for Reversing Diabetes”. He is committed to helping his patients, family, friends, and community to gain knowledge about their bodies and the importance of nutrition so that they can take back the control and responsibility of their health. This information will empower them and help them to live healthier and longer lives. |

Musical Act: The Leify Green Conspiracy
The Leify Green Conspiracy features the talents of bassist and long-time friend Luke Solomon, percussionist/vocalist Yerodin Sanders, guitarist John Lawton, and Grammy-award-winning guitarist/mandolinist Zan McLeod (Paul Winter, The Chieftains). Green describes the group's music as Organic Rock, blending contemporary rock structures with folk elements, acoustic instrumentation, and hand percussion. |

The Field is to the right of Center Road between Erickson Hall and The Commons. Visitors are allowed to park in The Commons Garage and on the loop/circle on UMBC's campus. UMBC Vegetarians is dedicated to raising awareness of more vegetarian options at UMBC, supporting vegetarians and those with special diets or allergies at UMBC, as well as show the general student body that vegan food is tasty and nutritious. The Humane League is a nonprofit animal advocacy organization that strives to create a more compassionate world for farm animals through education, campaigns, and rescue.
